Volunteers
Camp runs smoothly when everyone pitches in to help. We are 100% volunteer run. We need your help! This year we will be adding DEN DUTIES with the help of their parents to complete some of the tasks needed. We still are in need of Parent led tasks so please check out the sign up list. We appreciate your help!
(Shameless plug: we still need a fundraising committee member for Pack 10, too!)
Registration
Payment options through Pay Pal. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, contact Erica Hopkins or Erika Walker to coordinate drop off.
Please note: RSVPing in Scoutbook or in Facebook does not count as a registration for the camp-out
Please use the bottom below to pay for your registration. If you have questions on the amount owned, feel free to contact Erica Hopkins.
FAQs
Q: What time should we arrive?
A: Park opens at 7am, however, if you would like the Pack to cover your entrance fee, plan on arriving after 3pm.
Q: Where is the campsite?
Campsite is located in the Oakwood loop. We have 1-8 Campsites.
Q: Directions to campsite?
Turn right on Highland Loop rd, turn right on Red Oak Rd, then right on Nature Center rd. Follow the signs towards the Dining Hall. The first left on Magnolia will bring you to the drop off parking of our site.
Q: Where to park?
There are two parking lots fairly close. The temporary parking is right in front of our sites. Continuing straight on Magnolia there is a parking lot right behind site 6&7.
Q. Are the trails paved?
A. No, trails are either dirt or natural terrain. There are 8 main trails: Ameri-trail, Loggers Loop, Yaupon, Dogwood, Forest, Peach Creek North and South, and the Magnolia Trail.
Q: What should we bring?
A: In addition to all items needed to sleep and stay dry, don’t forget a refillable water bottle, a flashlight, and toiletries/towel if you want to clean up in the onsite bathrooms/showers. See the Pack 10 Camping Checklist for more ideas of what to pack.
Q: What should we wear?
A: Dress for the weather with comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. Scouts are asked to wear Pack 10 T-shirts on Saturday and any other scout T-shirt on Friday/Sunday. Leaders are asked to wear uniforms on Saturday and Scout T-shirts on Friday/Sunday.
Q: What if my Den Leader is not coming to the campout?
A: Don’t worry! If your scout’s Den Leader cannot make the camping trip, we will still have age appropriate outdoor activities for every rank to enjoy.
Q: Who do I contact if I have other questions?
A: Contact Erica Hopkins (Pack 10’s Events Coordinator)
